Motel 6 Clute, TX

This is a Motel 6 and sells to be remodeled since previous reviews. Mark, at the front desk was awesome at 2am. Pleasant and helpful. Room 153 was clean (cleaner than I've gotten at other places for $60/night). Love that there's no carpet. TV worked, AC cooled the room fast. Only toiletries provided in room are bars of soap, not sure if they have back ups if asked as I didn't ask. Shower was tidy, drained well, good pressure. Parking/ surrounding area feels a little shady/unkempt but never felt unsafe! Close to surfside for a portion of the price of the places right on the beach ($185/night). Would def stay here again!

We stay at Motel 6 b/c we travel w/ our dog, & she can stay free. We have travelled to various locations, but the Motel 6 in Clute is the best. Don’t let the faded paint on the outside of the building fool you. Inside the room everything is in top notch condition. It is also extremely clean. And every morning housekeeping knocks on your door w/ clean towels. There is a well maintained pool, w/ good restaurants & grocery stores close by. Lake Jackson & Surfside are very close. The price is amazing, too. We will be back soon.

Had no hot water, and the beds were literally hard as a rock!! Also, we were locked out of our room for leaving our dog in the room while we went to eat. It does not say on their pet policy that you can not leave your pet in the room. We were gone maybe 30 minutes.

I love it here personally. It's pet friendly, the best deal price-wise in my opinion. The stafff and owners are very nice. You're generally pretty left alone. There's an ice machine. They bring new/fresh daily supplies. It's one of the most hassle free experiences I've had recently. It's very quiet. They don't make you uncomfortable. Come here if you want peace and quiet. It also feels very safe.

Im from New York. Drove all day . Just to get here and wait over 1 1/2 . To get a room. Once I got the room. Open the door and turned the light on. Four roaches just scattered. Went to bathroom one fell on my foot . By the time i got out of the bathroom there was another roach on the table. Thank goodness I didn't have my bags inside yet. Went to get money back and he said he would give me a better room. Checked that room as soon as I opened the door there was a dead one right in the middle of the floor. Went back to the office got my money back. WORST HOTEL EVER !!!
