Motel 6 Baton Rouge, LA - Southeast

The lady at the desk was very delightful. Made me feel welcome when I checked in and, appreciated when I left. The room could use some updating but, over all I was very happy with my stay. If I travel that way again will use this spot again

I travel very often with my cat Bobby, so I need affordable, pet-friendly lodging. I'm a MyMotel6 member for this reason. This property isn't gorgeous from the outside but it's set back from a busy road, so it's not subject to loud traffic sounds or freeway noise as some properties are. And, I was able to check in at 2 p.m. without being demanded to pay an extra hourly fee as some other properties charge. My room was outstanding! It looked like it had been recently painted (in a professional manner, not in some sloppy way); the furniture was newer, the TV was clear and sharp and offered many channels, and the king bed was comfortable with a clean comforter and linens in good condition. Kiki on the reception desk was so helpful and pleasant, going above and beyond. Room was basic but was what we expected for the price. The rooms was clean, but dated - again this was to be expected. Free coffee was available in the reception. Outdoor pool was available but did not try this due to the time we got to the property. Juicy Seafood nearby was suggested, and would highly recommend.||Room smelt of stale smoke - maybe to do with the AC unit being on the front of the room next to the balcony/walkway. It was quiet noisy at night with locals drag racing on the nearby highway but not the motels fault.

For a budget motel on game day, this place was great. Clean and recently updated rooms. I appreciated that it was hard flooring rather than carpet. Kiki at the front desk was a gem who helped us with early check-in. Pool looked clean and nice, although we didn't use it. The exterior of the building is worn and could use an update.

Had to stay here for a couple of weeks while I worked to get out of the state, I work a full time job at night across the street and the owner banned me, my partner, and my dog because the staff didn’t want to clean our room on account of a husky being in mid shed season, offered to clean the room myself if they gave me the supplies, and refused to. They kept me waiting for a room up until an hour before I had to go to work, then told me I wasn’t allowed to rent here. The owner is rude, prejudiced against the working class, and would rather ban paying customers from renting and taking care of their own mess than actually work with people. Don’t come here if you’re desperate, they’ll rob you of your time and money and still give you broken rooms with missing tv’s, charge you full price for
