Morro Strand RV Park

We booked two sites about eight months in advance and were told by the girl who works in the office that we were being given some of the best sites in the park. Then the owner, Larry, called us a couple of weeks before our arrival and asked us to switch sites. Telling us that the ones we had booked were no good and the ones he wanted us in were much better. We declined. Glad we did. The sites he wanted us to switch to were half the size of the ones that we already had. He was just trying to gaslight us so that someone else could have our spots. Once we got there the entire back half of our site was completely flooded preventing us from backing in all the way. Fortunately it dissipated quickly. I was hesitant on staying here because of the reviews but im glad we did. The office manager Krystal is extremely nice & went out of her way to help my family during our trip. We have a 40'ft Rig & the spaces are huge we got a DXL with a fire pit. The park is well maintained,the bathrooms are clean with hott shower & its a short walk to the beach. Some people are so critical, this RV park is Nice. Were coming back.

Location is cool but ownership/management was not good. The owner made the stay very uncomfortable by coming into our camp without any notice and then promptly brought up politics and religion which, for us, was very unwelcome. We felt a little paranoid to leave our camp unattended after that. It was unfortunate because the area is beautiful but we always felt rushed to get back to the camp. No hot water in the bathrooms during our stay. Definitely would not stay here again. I’d just go with a different campground in the same area if we return!

This is a nice basic RV park with very clean facilities and friendly staff. Just a short walk to the beach and also a great walking/biking path to the harbor area, with plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping! We love Morro Bay and will definately stay here again.

Our 30’ Airstream and we love this place- walk everywhere, bike paths, beaches- - I saw a review that said the spaces were small- NOT AT All - we travel in our trailer 3 months a year and this is our second time back here and booked next summer as well. While we love Morro Bay State Park camping - they just don’t have sewer and you need to be on top of your reservations 6 months in advance - not so here - clean laundry area and clean campground full hookups and plenty of space. Walk the beach or Embarcadero in Morro bay, drive to Cambria (art and shopping) or San Simeon for a great hike- endless places to enjoy. Thanks for a great stay (again).
