Moon Hotel is quite the oddity. If you are simply looking for a place to lay your head a night or 2 while visiting NYC and don't plan on being in the room much, then this place is for you. I will note that the walls are incredibly thin. I will also note that many people go in and out throughout the night. Overall, this place is pretty decent if you just need a place to crash at night. I would also note the unique smell that pervades the room and building. Perhaps getting that fixed would be beneficial to everyone.
No have respect and no guaranty just looking the girl.
The pictures of the rooms looks cozy. Maybe it might be cozy at the right price with a single person who just needs a place to stay in an area where they have convenient access to many things in walking distance. If you aren't driving and is traveling alone, it just might work out, otherwise it is a big inconvenience. The rooms are exceptionally small where two people with 3 medium sized luggages cannot have space to sort through their luggage together and get dressed. There is a small fridge but no complimentary water. I wasn't able to take my supplements and I was too tired from the long trip to go out looking a drink though it looks like the receptionist sells drinks behind the counter. You don't have real privacy because the door to the room doesn't have seals around the edges so
The bed sunk to the middle of the mattress. The pictures online are deceiving to the actual size of the room. It's not even the size of a shoebox, and the bathroom is the tiniest I've ever seen. Outside of the hotel in one direction is a little sketchy, but mostly safe. The other direction is unwalkable after dark.
I’m going to be completely honest with this review. The room itself was honesty fine for what I paid, small and not really any amenities but I expected that. The real issue is the neighborhood. I’m white, and I was travelling alone. BIG MISTAKE. Could not be out at night really hurt my trip because I felt unsafe to return to the hotel after dark. I walked to the subway one morning, still felt like everybody was eyeing me up waiting to rob me or worse. Pay the money and stay in Manhattan. Won’t be back.
