Monument Point Camping

My husband checked in with the older lady & said she was very nice, but I've never received such nasty customer service in all my camping years. Got yelled @ by the younger owner because the dog let out one bark. 2) Got yelled @ for doing dishes in the sink. Actually I was emptying urine into the toilet with a steel pail. Same person. She never bothered to actually check whether I WAS washing dishes, just heard the pail clank.|The grounds & bathrooms are very clean. The spacing isn't crowded. Yet, I won't go back to put up with her poor customer abuse again.

This is one of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at with the cleanest bathrooms and showers! The owners are so friendly and helpful too (loaned me a coffee much even when I forgot mine!)

Got there a couple hrs early. Campsite open and just wanted to drop camper so not needing to pull into town until|Check-in time. Nope! Ok if we buy another day…..really? Not real friendly. Debbie was great back in the day, daughter as owner, not so much. Geared more for seasonal camp site folks vs extended weekend visitors. Better options if up that way.

This is a pretty, heavily wooded campground. We appreciated the level site. Electric hook-ups only and a lot of seasonal campers. It was very quiet during the week. The bathrooms/showers were clean and there were plenty of showers, toilets and sinks. Not a lot for kids to do which was fine with us. There was a park with a beach about 3 miles away. Frank E Murphy County Park. That too was quieter and had plenty of parking. This is a campground we'd definitely come back to.

My husband and I spent the first half of our vacation at Monument Point Campground. I am somewhat of a seasoned camper but this is new to my husband, and new to both of us in the 33ft RV in inherited from my folks. All I can say is WE WILL BE BACK!! We are close to retirement and considering being a "season" resident at Monument Point in a few years. The location is perfect, so close to some beautiful beaches and state parks. Our favorite was Whitefish Dunes, just a 15 minute drive. Kelsey and her "staff" were SO accommodating as well. If you are a camper, this is the place for you. It was quiet in the evenings and they are pretty strict about quiet time and dogs(which they allow, but there are rules), but I, for one, appreciate that!!
