Montrose Valley Lodge

The room was in rough shape, with chipped paint and such cosmetic damage, but it had the amenities we wanted including a big TV, fridge, and microwave. The biggest con here was the employee. A couple of times he'd stare us down and follow us. My wife was uncomfortable. Update: I may have been a bit harsh with my prior words regarding the employee. While I do feel as though what they did was inappropriate, I've emailed back and forth with the staff and they've spoken with them, and it sounds like they're going to make an effort to be more considerate of their behavior.

The sheets on one bed in our room had blood on it. The paint on the walls was badly chipped, and a lamp shade looked like it went thru a war. When we complained about the sheet, they had us move to another room. The sheets were clean, but the condition on the room was not satisfactory.

We had a pleasant enough stay here. The staff, were really friendly and the pool area was lovely - my girls had a brilliant time there. The room was comfortable, if a little dark, and the bathroom was clean. Keep an eye on this place, as it has has recently changed hands and they are obviously working hard on improvements!

Horrible experience!! When I got locked out and has to ask him for key he tried following me into the hotel room, im 17!! I had to call my dad for help. It’s nasty over there the floors will make ur feet black. They staff are constantly out side watching u and watching closely, it’s creepy!!

The bathroom still needed a little work as the baseboards were coming off the wall. The new owners are doing construction. The rooms were clean. Huge TV in the room. Breakfast was available, before when it was Days Inn they never had breakfast. Jimmer's next door is great for dinner.
