Monroe Motel

Late night check in and was charged $75 for the room plus $25 deposit. Was told if I take my cat inside the room I would lose my deposit and they would call police on me. Whatever, you have cameras and can see if I take my cat inside or not. No need to threaten someone as if I’m a teenager! 45 yrs old and people still feel the need to talk to me as if I am a child. They never even checked the room when I checked out to see if I did take my cat inside. They gave me back my deposit too.

It isn't a fancy place and doesn't have all of the bells and whistles when it comes to amenities, but the family that runs it are very nice people that charge a reasonable price. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need including microwave and a large, well tall, mini fridge. The beds are super comfortable with nice soft sheets that aren't your typical boring white sheets. Strong wifi quiet area and so close to the rest of Monroe and anywhere else you need to go. Loved our stay, will be extending it and will always come back here when needed.

If you don't want to be bothered go to this place

The rooms are nice size for just a over-night stay…but the beds have stains in them, & are very old! Had to constantly kill flies while my stay. The women staff are VERY RUDE! I recommend if you stay at Monroe motel, always make sure you have slides or shoes on because walking on the carpet your feet will turn black. Showers have mold in them. Just a very poor service all around! I don’t recommend this motel at all!!! HIGHLY disappointed 😔

The owners are a great couple if it wasn't for them me and my fiance would be some place else before we get moved to West Virginia. They have remolded the rooms and trying to get it looking better then what it was before they bought it 2 years ago. They do nightly and weekly rates.
