Hampton Inn Monroe

Hotel was very close to town and to the highway, which made getting around easy. Rooms were really nice and spacious. Room was very clean and staff were very nice. Overall service was awesome. Would stay again! Great value for the price for us!

This hotel had steadily gone downhill; it was water damaged (flooded) on the first floor approximately 2 years ago. To say this owner is CHEAP is an understatement, aside from replacing the bottom foot or so of drywall on the first floor, they rolled the water damaged/no doubt moldy wallpaper back into place and it's held on with tape throughout the entire first floor (again for at least 2 years now!). The female front desk clerk is very nice, and explained that the owner is 'waiting' because he knows that the Hilton brand is going to make him do a hotel renovation...nice of him to wait so long, I can only imagine the mold/mildew/toxins that are an aftermath to this half-a@@ed 'repair'. Positive: I was excited to get this reservation and be able to be as comfortable as I have been in other Hamptons. Not with this property Negative: Scary neighborhood. Next to a burned out building

I’ve stayed at this location for work several times over the past few months. The staff is super friendly. The rooms honestly are older but they are in good condition. The fitness center is small yet manageable

Being a Hampton Inn showing a Hilton hotel is deceiving. Upon check in i had to ring an outside phone in order to get into the hotel. Okay you might think this is a good safety feature being it was 1145pm on a Sunday night. Once the front desk clerk let me inside I proceed to let her know I have reservations. There system was down, check in took 15 minutes, once she found my reservation she tells me the cost of my stay and deposit. The reservations were already paid for, the only thing I needed to pay was the $50 deposit. The clerk tells me about breakfast from 6a-9a tells me nothing else about what the hotel offers. Gives me my key and directs me to the elevator to get to my room. I checked in Sunday night, Monday afternoon I call the front desk to see if they can have maintenance co
