Customer Reviews
Beautiful, quiet campground with incredible views. Water is available, but no electricity. Road in is great until the last 1.4 miles, which is dirt and a little rough. That being said, we made it in with our 25 ft. RV.
Mingus Mountain Campground is an amazing, fairly unknown campground that'll reward you with gorgeous vistas amid thick stands of pine forest if you're willing to make the trek to it. It's not hard to access from either Phoenix or Prescott but does require going up some very windy roads. It's even easier to get to now since the first 2 miles of Forest Road 104 that turns off of Highway 89A has been paved although the last half mile is still a graded gravel road. The campground is a national forest campground that shouldn't be confused with the private, similarly-named, religious Mingus Mountain Camp that shows up just before it on the same road. Once you get to Mingus Mountain Campground you'll find 18 sites that are very well-kept considering how hidden away it is. Vault toilets and dumps
The place is amazing having a youth fest is super nice!!! Top and the staff is in another level so great atmosphere along with the work that they do and the food!
I've never been there before. But I think it's will be a fun camp to go to and see it myself. I want to meet the worker because they seem nice.
Location, Location, Views. Camped for five nights May 10 - 15 2024. Campsite 13 and 15 had fantastic views of valley below and the San Francisco peaks. Campsites are nicely spaced so you don't feel you are on top of your neighbor. Room for RVs and pop-up campers. Great hiking all around and some fishing in a small pond. Prescott Valley 30 minutes away and Jerome is about 15 minutes. Vault toilets would be the only drawback but what do you expect for $10 night camping fee.
