Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tuscumbia/Muscle Shoals

Let me start by saying this hotel has been absolutely wonderful, very nice and accommodating staff . They go over and beyond on anything you need or even if you have questions about the area. I cannot say enough about the kindness all of them have given my family while we have been here. I have witnessed some of their staff even stick up and defend children with some pretty terrible guests recently, I have watched some guests call other guests profanity and the man at the desk was so helpful in removing these hateful people. They always make sure everyone is safe and accomodated to the best of their abilities. I will stay here every time I come through tuscumbia. Thanks microtel!

We chose to bring a small dog at the last minute and had no trouble getting a dog friendly room. The clerk even made sure that we knew there would be an additional fee of $25. Room was adequate, wall paint looked good, carpet was stained but I expected that with a pet friendly room. Bathroom was fine, shower good, air conditioner cold. Beds comfortable, shades on windows that actually open. Frig in room for your drinks. Breakfast had sausage links which I didn't expect. Bagels, juice, condiments prepackaged but still tasty. Had a group of 13 older women and we had a good stay. (Also no problems with the bill for 6 rooms!)

My husband is handicapped and on a scooter. He can’t walk. They put us on the fourth floor where the elevator button didn’t work. We had to go down a flight of stairs and come back up to get him. For 3 days. They offered to move us but who wants to move after getting unpacked! They have a habit of sitting right in the doorway smoking. The people were nice and friendly but always said I’m sorry. Didn’t seem to be worried about fixing the problem. The room was nice and big but I had to mop the floor. It was so sticky. I’m glad I didn’t have small kids.

Positive: Employee was there throughout my stay and was very professional, pleasant and helpful. Negative: Another guest seemed to be following me and Chevy made sure I was safely to my room.

Never stayed in a Microtel Inn before. We didn't realize that the name meant everything was smaller "micro".... that being said, it was the tiniest hotel room we have ever stayed in. With a queen size bed instead of a king. The tv was tiny. The outdoor pool (closed for winter) was tiny too lol... but, the hotel was clean, quiet and bed was comfortable. Shower, sink toilet worked fine with good water pressure and nice hot water. Room had a mini fridge, a microwave and a single cup coffee maker. All of the staff that we interacted with were very nice. Area seemed safe. Nothing scary going on. Breakfast was pretty decent as well. They had hot eggs and sausage, raisin bran & fruit loops cereals, muffins, sliced bread and a toaster for toast, yogurt cups, apple juice, orange juice, 2% mil
