Comfort Inn & Suites Tuscumbia-Muscle Shoals

My stay at the comfort Inn and suites at the Tuscumbia-Muscle Shoals location was almost a really good stay. However, the communication between staff needs to get a lot better. Our stay was scheduled from Dec 25th-Dec 31st. However we we’re coming from out of town and we’re running late and were not going to show up until the 26th so I called to make sure that a late check in would be okay and was told that it would be fine to check in on the 26th (I spoke to a woman, but do not remember her name). While we were heading that way on the 26th, I called to just make sure that our reservation was still good and was told that it had been canceled due to a no-show. The first room I was given, the shower did not work and the refrigerator has a solid block of ice in it. So I requested a different room on the first floor and was told nothing was available, she wanted to put me on the third floor (I cant use elevators) and the young gentleman was super nice and told the lady to give me room 202. So I switched room. However Room 202 the entry door only opens 1/2 way and then gets stuck on the floor so we had to squeeze through with the luggage and a small child. Then the shower sprayed so hard that it was uncomfortable to take a shower. The front desk gentlemen is super nice and very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I was just disappointed with the quality of the rooms on this trip. I was there in November as well and reserved the handicap suite

Positive: Absolutely nothing! Negative: Musty mildew smell in the room. Visible dirty, stains, and white mold on chair and bed frame that was a dark brown cloth material! This was the filthiest place I have ever stayed, and I wish I had more options or I would have left!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place was so disgusting. The hallways had the worst musky, moldy smelling scent I’ve ever smelt. All four of us woke up wheezing for air, congested. We looked in the AC unit and it was filled with white mold and clumped up layers of dust. There were stink bugs on the walls. The breakfast was out right diabolical. The sausage was green and soggy literally falling apart, the eggs were like a powdery substance, the waffle mix had a green tint and tasted like they had left cleaning chemicals in it from attempting to clean the dispenser. Even the other people in the dining area were disgusted and wouldn’t eat. This place definitely has a mold and humidity problem.
