Mexican Hat Lodge

We had a great stay at this lodge. We were in cabin B. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. 2 comfortable king sized beds, a pull out couch, table/ chairs and afull bathroom. The staff was fun and energetic. Most of the town was shut down for the winter... including all of the restaurants but the 7-11 had some great food choices for dinner. The lodge provided coffee, some bottled water and several muffins for a quick breakfast. It was a great location to visit Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley.

We stayed at many hotels on a week+ road trip around the SW and this was one of our favorites. It's not new or fancy, but it's clean, spacious, quiet, and comfy. The young woman who checked us in was friendly and kind. There was nothing open for food for miles, so my kids got to raid 7-11 across the street for dinner. They LOVED that part. I think this stop will be something they remember always.

My room was a little small by hotel standards(perfect for solo travelers), but was clean and had all the regular amenities; microwave, mini fridge, TV, shower/bath. Family that owns and runs it is beyond incredible

I had a room Oct 13 '25. I am handicapped and in a wheelchair. I said I would get there in the evening. It rain so hard that evening, my luck! i arrived at 9ish, and there was nobody here. I was very tired driving from Red River and I didnt know what to do. A strange man walked up, said he'd get my key n showed me where my room was. great ramp, HUGE room n surprised how nice it was. THANK U! cloudless morning it view the day! I cant thank u enough...

The only thing good about this place is the steak! The rooms are small, smoky and dated. Do not pay 150/ a night. Pool is closed. Hot tub closed. It’s not worth it. I stayed at Canyon lands motel across the street the next night for half that, the rooms are clean and large and comfortable! Save your money.
