Canyonlands Motel

If you are looking for a budget friendly place this is it. Rooms are the cheapest around and worth the stay. Clean room. Comfy bed. Quiet location. My room didn't have a tv which is OK with me. Owner was super nice.

Our motel room at Canyonlands was clean, really comfortable and with the fan turned on, we could not hear the din of traffic outside. The housekeeper was really helpful and had great customer service. The staff/owner at the front desk, upon check-in, was friendly and welcoming. For the price of this room, and it's cleanliness, I give it a five-star. It is not fancy but it was quite worth the money. I'd stay here again.

Happy to be at our favorite motel! Clean, quiet and peaceful AND a short scenic ride/drive to Monument Valley. The price is great and the owner is very nice. We’ve stayed here many times and always look forward to the next time.

While you can't beat the $65 price, unfortunately the Canyonlands Motel was a big "NO" for us. When we checked in, the lady asked us if she had let us know on the phone earlier that there wasn't any working hot water at the moment. No, we didn't know that the hot water wasn't working, but that wasn't a deal breaker. It was 103° outside, and we were only staying one night, so I figured we could take a quick cool shower if we need to. The major problem was the supposed air conditioning. She told us that she'd turned the AC on quite a while ago and that the room should be all cooled down. My idea of cooled down and hers were vastly different. The room had to have been at least 85 degrees, and the air coming out of the AC unit was not cold at all. The lady came and checked the room--she thoug

We loved this motel and stayed for several days. It is modest and unassuming, yet perfectly adequate. NOT part of a chain of motels, so this may explain why it is so nice. Comfy beds, plumbing worked well. The lady owner was very friendly and informative about things to see in the area. Not expensive, and much cheaper than the other motels in Mexican Hat.
