Melrose Georgetown Hotel

Room 613 — Visit date February 20, 2026 Jen saved the best for last. The suite-style layout was excellent — living room up front for activity and the bedroom tucked around the corner for privacy. The King bed was outstanding, and transitioning back to a Queen at home will be difficult. Pillow game was strong. One practical drawback: not enough electrical outlets for modern travel needs. Between mobile phones, laptops, GoPro cameras, and wireless headphones, accessible plug-in space was limited. There was a building-wide HVAC issue during our stay, and the system was pushing hot air despite February temperatures. We solved it by opening the windows and letting in the 35° D.C. air, which worked surprisingly well. The embroidered dark “Makeup” towel was a thoughtful touch — a small detail

Rafika made my entire stay unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, she treated me with genuine warmth and professionalism. Every detail I needed, she handled with care, always with a smile and without hesitation. She made the hotel feel comfortable, welcoming, and effortless. It’s rare to meet someone who truly elevates the whole experience, but she did exactly that. The stay itself was amazing, but her kindness and attention made it even better. People like Rafika are the reason guests want to return. I’m genuinely grateful for her help and the positive energy she brought throughout my visit.

Positive: I enjoyed the friendly environment and the hospitable staff. Negative: This hotel has valet parking only that is quite expensive at $--- a night (during my stay). I was able to find free street parking in front of the hotel until 7am and then found a garage right across the street with an early bird rate of $10 all day.

Our family had a wonderful stay here! Close walking to everything you need, Trader Joe’s and Starbucks just up a block. Georgetown shopping just a 5 min walk. Staff is so friendly! Rooms are very spacious and cozy. Headboards are faded and look a bit tired, but not a dealbreaker. Only suggestion - we would have liked a more professional dressed and attentive bartender, the lady bartender who worked when we stayed (Jan 29-Feb 1) would disappear for very long periods of time. She dressed like she was going to dance at a strip club (breasts literally falling out). For a family hotel, not appropriate.

Had an event at Four Seasons and this was the overflow hotel. Well worth it. Historic hotel so rooms have a little wear but still good. The highlight was "Z" (the bartender's nickname) in the lobby. So engaging and cool. She actually made my stay so enjoyable with our conversations. The coffee makers in the room are a little loud, but ok. Coffee in the lobby just off elevators was great to be able to grab and go. Walk to Four Seasons, downtown Georgetown or anywhere else are not bad. Uber was also usually available and arrived really quick if/when needed. Hotel had full umbrellas available in closet if needed which was a nice touch.
