Marriott's Monarch at Sea Pines

One of our favorite Marriott's vacation club locations. Direct access to beach. Beach is very wide and is great for riding your bike on. No restaurant on site, but next to site is one. A little pricey, but it is Hilton Head. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Units have full kitchens and washer and dryer. BBQ grills are available. Located in Sea Pines, so have to pay fee to get in or have a Pass. Marriott provides that.

Nice beach access with pools, large hot tub, fire pits without door pool table, ping pong etc, and Coast restaurant conveniently next door. Fraser's Tavern not too far across the way, among other restaurants within Seapines. Enjoy miles of beautiful bike trails or take your bikes to the beach. The units are lovely as well.

This is a beautiful property set in the Nature Preserve on the North end of Hilton Head. When arriving for the first time you need to pay $9 to access the area, not a big deal but we aren't aware of that. Part of the preserve has beautiful walking trails and those are only a few minutes away from the resort. This report itself is located on a beautiful stretch of beach with easy access and there are nice pools facing the ocean.||Our unit was beachfront and on the fifth floor and both the balcony off the living room and the balcony off the second bedroom had nice ocean views. We were in a newly renovated unit and although the decor and furniture were nice, there were issues: the appliances were old and when I opened the dishwasher for the first time, the rubber stripping had fallen out. This was a terrible experience where customer service and staff are concerned. We booked a room for two nights and everything seemed fine. Beautiful location of course, nice two bedroom, then Kyona Hall, front desk manager from Marriott called. She was extremely rude and dismissive. She started saying that we hadn't paid for the room the second night, which we had. Then she turned off our room keys. A back and forth between the front desk and this kyona ensued, which became extremely convoluted and unnecessary. She threatened to lock us out and have security remove our things from the room. Long story short, she forced us to pay for another night with a jacked up rate. Awful. You're in the business of customer service and you succeeded in ruining our dinner. Kyona was calling my

Oldie but goodie Marriott Vacation Club. Factoid - This is the 1st Marriott Vacation Club which was a purchased facility. Marriott didn't plan or build this facility. Despite being the 1st, the room and facility was cozy and the layout was acceptable. The beach access was super easy. The bbq were centrally located. The pool was undergoing refurb so no review of the pool amenity.
