I stayed at the Marriott Marquis Washington for four nights and found it to be a traditional, full-service hotel offering a fairly standard experience. While the overall stay was comfortable, there were a few aspects worth noting.Service: I requested a blanket and a kettle, and while the items were eventually delivered, it took nearly an hour, which felt a bit slow for a hotel of this caliber.Breakfast: One of the highlights of my stay. The breakfast was varied and flavorful, with plenty of choices to satisfy different tastes. Definitely worth trying if you enjoy a hearty start to your day. Value: The hotel leans on the pricier side, especially when factoring in the additional costs for services. The service was decent, but it didn’t quite match the premium pricing.Overall, the Marriott Ma
I was relieved to be able to park my car to unload and check in before parking it in a nearby garage for half the price using a parking app. Check in was quick and easy and the property was spacious, beautiful and directly connected to the convention center. My suite was huge with a view of the street. The only negative was that sirens could be heard all night. Consider asking for a room that would be more quiet than the 4th floor. They had the biggest gym I have ever seen, the bed was very comfortable, and the coffee in the room was good.
If the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC were a person at a conference, it would be that polished executive who owns every room, knows exactly when to smile, and somehow still squeezes in networking at 3 a.m. Location: Absolutely Strategic Let’s start with the great news: this place is smack in the heart of downtown DC. You’re walking distance from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the Smithsonian museums, and a ton of metro lines. If you’re in town for meetings, an award conference, or just trying to get all the monuments in without Uber’ing to death, this is prime real estate. Lobby & Vibe: Big, Bold, and Buzzing Walk in and you feel the scale. Tall ceilings, that signature Marriott energy, and all the human activity you’d expect from a major business hotel. It’s busy, purpos
the room is a nice size and they have come to clean it everyday we have been here! the m lounge is on our floor (floor 12) and it is such a nice touch! we have gone down to the bar 2 nights in a row and abdu was our bartender and he is amazing! so sweet and kind
The stay, regrettably, fell short of expectations. To the hotel’s credit, I was upgraded to a Studio Suite, which on paper, and visually, was a welcome improvement. The room was well-appointed, with comfortable furnishings and a layout that suggested a more premium experience. Unfortunately, that promise quickly unraveled. Upon entry, there was a noticeable musty odor, subtle, but persistent enough to detract from the sense of freshness one expects at this level. Where the experience truly went sideways, however, was with the HVAC system. I tend to sleep warm and, as a matter of habit, travel with a portable thermometer to verify room temperature accuracy. Despite setting the thermostat to its lowest possible setting, the unit continued to emit heat, no cooling function whatsoever. What
