Marquis de Lafayette Hotel

Booked a room for a quiet weekend. Cost almost $300 for the one night. I checked in, went to my room and the door to my outside balcony did not lock. It looked like the bar mechanism of the lock had been snapped off. |They offered me another room but I didn’t feel safe. |I was able to get a refund from my third party booking company. ||***Please check your rooms. Check them so that if a person you loved was staying there, you would be comfortable knowing they were safe.

I booked on Expedia but needed to rearrange our vacation dates. One of the managers, Joe, was very accommodating. He was quick to respond, positive, and helpful. We are looking forward to the stay!

Stayed in a pet friendly junior suite. It is a bit tight. Located on the ground floor meant no ocean view unfortunately. Regular bed was comfortable but the pull out was terribly uncomfortable. Floors seemed to have not been washed in a long time or swept prior to our arrival. Enjoyed the rocking chairs on the patio. Pool is nicely heated but hot tub wasn't hot enough. Suited our needs for two nights but the location of this room on the ground floor was a challenge for my dad with a walker due to several steps. Barefoot bar and grill is good! Hotel is in a great location.

Marquis De Lafayette Hotel is charming. We try to visit at least once a year. The staff is very attentive and they were always smiling when speaking with you. Each request was acknowledged and honored. The room was welcoming. The location is wonderful with a short stroll to the beach and many of the restaurants and shops.

We stayed here for two nights - Sunday, August 24 and Monday, August 25 - two adults and two kids. Room 408. We had a great time.||Room: Room 408 is a great spot - last room on 4th floor - balcony view of the ocean was fantastic. Right above the restaurant which was usually going until 9:30ish each night but really not a big deal. The door leading to the balcony needs to be oiled - super loud. The room layout is nice - closest to the balcony is a small living space with pull out sofa, tv, and table/chairs/coffee maker. The middle is a kitchen area with small fridge/freezer, cabinets, microwave, and stovetop. The bathroom was spacious and renovated. The bedroom is in the back (basically as soon as you enter the room from the hallway). Two beds in there - I will say the beds were super comfy
