Marine Park Campground

Beautiful by day, horrible by night. The area is really beautiful and we thought we had the perfect spot. Until we noticed the trains, they came by allllll night long. Too bad because the rest was pretty awesome but will not visit again because of this. The noise of the trains was deafening.

Currently (12/26/25) sites 3&4have water and power, others power only. Dump station, bathrooms, showers closed for winter. You can pay $50 cash (no checks) at the kiosk, or scan QR code at kiosk to pay online. There is a list of available sites that you mark yourself, pretty straight forward. Very windy. Right off the highway

Train at night was very loud, but the campground was clean and well maintained. The host was fantastic.

Things Got Funky Changed Staff👎👎👎 No More Miss Kaycee!!! Now They Don't Open Overflow Hiking On Lawn Till June. Last Time I Was There The Guy Mowen The Lawn Sabotage My Tent With Removal Of 2 Tent Stakes!!! Not👎Cool Guess He Didn't Like Where The "Park Host" Told Me To Put It..! There's Other Places To Set UP. I'm Not Doin Over Nights There Anymore 👎👎👎

My experience was tent camping. There are four tent sites with electric at the sites, and potable water nearby. The campground was immaculately kept, the host, who is new as of July 2020, was very kind and helpful. It was easy to make reservations and easy to pay contact-free (for Covid). Thunder Island is a short walk from the campground over a foot bridge and is stunning from every angle. Marine Park has a beautiful walking path and large playground (which is currently closed due to Covid). My only reason for not giving five stars is the train that is just a stone's throw behind the campground. With ear plugs I had no issues sleeping. But it is definitely something to be aware of and plan accordingly with fan, white noise, ear plugs or something especially if you camp with kids. I would
