Cascade Locks / Portland East KOA Holiday

We were here in September on vacation and needed to stay one night on our way to another Oregon state campground. There were two sites left. All campsites are in the dirt. Ours was 20 ft from the railroad. We had seen the reviews so we knew what to expect. Even so... yikes! The smell of diesel, the dust, the horn. The bathrooms were great but we never used them because the woman behind the counter was mean. On the checkout morning, when we realized that we were going to be late for their checkout time, we called and explained that we had overslept but we would be out about 10 minutes late. She gave us grief. There is no place to park unless you have a campsite, so when we checked out I mentioned to my husband that I wanted to use the bathroom. If you want a quiet nights sleep don’t stay here. There is a train running 30 feet from the property just about every hour and blasts its horn the whole time. otherwise the campground is cute and staff is friendly.

The location and trees are wonderful. Smaller KOA with a smaller pool area. The only negative...be ready for the TRAINS all night long. We kept our air on for a noise machine to help us sleep.

Clean facilities and quiet campground. It's older, so the amenities are older and not very spacious. The rows between sites are narrow and not well lit. We arrived at night and the directions to the bathrooms weren't well-marked. But the staff were polite and helpful, and it seems to have some nice amenities for families

This place is amazing! They have super clean bathrooms/showers and you don’t have to worry about watching your surrounding for spiders or any other bug. There is phone service and you are close to Portland. The campsites are. A bit small but for how well kept the area is I’m okay with a smaller space. I haven’t used the WiFi but it is also available
