Long story short: nice enough hotel and room, but there were some annoying aspects about my stay. I will not be staying here again. I don't normally like to leave reviews, much less bad ones, but my experience at this hotel was a bit frustrating. First, the good - the room was clean, cute, and perfect for couples wanting to spend a few days in DuPont circle. The room is furnished nicely with a modern design. The hotel also has keypad locks to get into the building and into the room, which I appreciated. Now, onto the negative - the hotel had a couple comfort problems. The primary one being the toilet. The toilet didn't flush properly about 70% of the time, and my partner and I had to reach into the back reservoir to fix it if we wanted it to stop draining water. Secondly, there was a hi
Nice historic building in a great location. Walkable to all the midtown attractions from Georgetown to Smithsonian. Tatte is a two minute walk down the road, a perfect place to grab some breakfast favorites or to have a light meal. Five minutes walking to Dupont Circle Metro station, ten minutes to Ferragut West.||Rooms are practical, nicely decorated and in good shape. The A rooms are suites and face the street. They are the largest and brightest ones, but subject to noise from the street and the Mad Hatter weekend music. B and C rooms face the wall of the next building. Only those on floors 4 and 5 look onto the rooftops. I would choose 2A/3A/4A for style, space and light, 4C for a smaller unit and a more quiet stay. We had a washer / dryer for guest use next to 4A. The elevator is dated
What a cutie hotel. I like that it’s private and feels like home. When we arrived our room door didn’t work which worried us as there’s no staff. But we called the number provided and they answered immediately, it was late. They upgraded our room and had us in it in less than 2min. It was pretty cold as they were not prepared for anyone to use it but the heater had it warm within the hour. We felt right at home and slept sooooooo good. What a cozy bed. 😍. We found parking on the street right out front for free overnight and woke up early at 7am to pay the meter. $4. But there’s also a parking garage across the street. Street parking was just easier for us. We loved our stay and will for sure stay again in the future.
Definitely a great location. We lived across the street for years and stayed here for a couple nights before moving to CA. The Dupont Circle neighborhood with its restaurants, cafes, stores, and nightlife is the best in DC. Tatte Cafe is next door, as are a number of different restaurants. The burgers at the dive sports bar Madhatter are to die for. City Tap House is more upscale and expensive but still good. Head north of the circle on Connecticut for American fare at Kramers Cafe, west on P Street to Sampani for Thai or Bagels Etc for the best bagels in DC, or hit the 17th Street corridor b/n P Street and R Street, DC’s traditional gay neighborhood. Easy walking distance to the old colonial port town of Georgetown. The price here is amazing for DC. If you just want a place to lay your he
What a wonderful stay! A true hidden gem. We could not have asked for a better stay. The inn has a unique elevator, which was pretty cool. My partner, Eboni and I stayed in room 4B, located on the top floor. It was nice, quiet and cozy, very clean and equipped with everything that one may need for a stress-free stay, ie microwave, mini fridge, plates, glassess, cutlery, coffee machine, tv, blackout curtains, walk-in shower etc. Soft comfy bed. It also has a view, which was a major plus. It is the perfect size for couples. The inn itself has a romantic feel, as if you've teleported to Paris. Easy keyless check-in/check-out process. It is centrally located to Dupont circle, restaurants, shopping and the train station. If you are uncertain about whether to stay at Maison Dupont, do not hesitat
