MainStay Suites Tampa Moffitt-USF

Great location and our 2 bedroom suite was the perfect size with lots of room. I am surprised the ratings for this hotel are not better; our stay was great. Sure, some of the furniture could be updated with newer furniture and the door to the shower/toilet area had a spot that looked like a dog had been locked in and it chewed it BUT this is an extended stay hotel so I can over look that. Price was great, staff friendly, and free breakfast, what more could you ask for! Would definitely recommend and return

The hotel was very quiet, and clean. The staff was very helpful. It was close to Family and activities that we wanted to do. The parking lot was well lit and felt safe. The two bedroom unit was awesome.

It was a decent place to stay up until the time we tried to sleep next door to someone who played their TV loud enough to wake us up from a dead sleep at 2am. Our home on our room was not working. I went to the desk and informed the night clerk of our situation. He said not one word to me. Shortly thereafter, we heard the phone ring next door. The tv was still blaring even after the desk called the room I went back to the desk and could not get anyone to answer the desk phone on the lobby. No one came to the desk. I walked around looking for someone but no luck. We’ve stayed st a lot of hotels and this one is off our list for good.

Posted menu for breakfast was a waste. Not accurate. Ran out of hot chocolate 1st day. no bowls for cereal or oatmeal. Rooms were clean and hotel and grounds were well cared for. Luggage carts requires 3 trips where regular carts at other hotels could handle it all in one load.

The staff was incredibly friendly, quiet location, and fairly clean. It is on the opposite side of town of most things, so having a car is helpful. We did not, and public transportation is not great. Uber/Lyft are expensive compared to other metro areas we've been to.
