MainStay Suites Raleigh - Cary

The stay was great! There were no bugs and plenty of amenities to use including shampoo conditioner and lotion. The bed was nice and the room was a good size with a small kitchen. I will definitely be staying there again. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming when it came to anything I might've had a question about or anything I needed. They were all around wonderful!

I had a great experience at this hotel. I didn't notice any transients trying to fight anyone nor any bugs of any kind. The TV worked and the channels matched the guide. I read a bunch of random reviews that had crazy info, but I had no problems to note. The checkin and out process was fast and efficient, and any of the hotel staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful esp the young lady on duty Sat and Sun afternoon, Ms. Alexis. I didn't take full advantage of having a kitchen in room but all the necessary items were there to avoid having to spend a bunch of money on dining out. The full size fridge was helpful to have as well. The bed was comfortable with clean linen and the bathroom was stocked with clean towels and washcloths. Booked a 2 week stay. Had to change rooms after one night due to no hot water and toilet not flushing. I also noticed filthy discolored calcium / lime build up on the shower head. My room was never serviced. Had to go to the front desk to get toilet paper and paper towels. Requested maintenance Thursday and was told he'd be there on Friday; by 2pm Friday (he never showed). Called the front desk and was told he wouldn't be there and doesn't work on weekends; Friday became Monday - again, he never showed. Young Latina cleaning the rooms was loud and on her phone with the volume turned up as if she was the only one in the hotel. I had to ask her to quiet down. Her response "No English" sorry, how are you working here if you don't speak English? I asked her in Spanish to be quiet. Didn't have

Positive: "" Negative: No continental breakfast as listed. Night attendant would only give towels if we exchanged what we already had, yet another attendant gladly gave extra without exchange. There was a roach on 1 of our beds upon arrival and dead roaches under kitchen sink.

(FYI: This business is NOT BBB Accredited, no wonder RE: Bad reviews). Just wanted to point out a pattern that a customer (Cortney Nicholson) had experienced; there seemed to be an ongoing pattern of bad customer service night person-her name is CHASTITY who have been so rude and unprofessional. I would have to agree with Cortney’s observation. Cortney’s grievance: “the female front desk clerk that I spoke to hung up on the phone in my face in the midst of me asking for the general manager's contact information. I called back and this clerk hung up in my face AGAIN. The last time I called back, the same female clerk answered and this time I was allowed to fully convey my wish of contacting the general manager.
