MainStay Suites Houston NASA/Clear Lake

We had a great stay here. It was clean and quiet and so close to the Johnson Space Center. The desk staff were great. The reason it gets a 4 instead of a 5 is because our room smelled of cigarette smoke. They had clearly tried really hard to get the smell out of the room, but it was still there. Having said that, we would gladly stay here again. There is a great sundry shop and fresh coffee in the lobby. The rooms have a kitchenette, with full sized fridge. This is a great place to stay on a family trip when you want the option to prepare some of your own meals.

Ms. Dana Jones is a real blessing… she goes above and beyond to make sure my room is spotless and comfortable. Housekeeping as a whole keeps everything fresh, and the maintenance team stays on top of things quick with no hassle. Front desk staff? Always welcoming, always helpful, and always professional. It’s rare to find a place where everybody consistently does their job with pride… but this hotel does. Thank y’all for making my stays smooth every single time. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Positive: It was cheap. It had a kitchen, decent bathroom Negative: The AC wreaked of mold. $100 deposits for rooms with broken towel bars etc. I was treated worse than the dog that yelped, cried and barked from morning until night for 2 months straight.l was discriminated against because I have a disability.

If you’re searching for a hotel close to NASA’s space station, and you’re on a budget while wanting a peaceful and secure spot in Houston, I’d suggest this one. Plus, they welcome pets! My son accidentally left his stencil set behind, and the hotel got in touch right away, offering to send it to my place. I really appreciate that. Thanks again!

Do not stay here. My family and I were falsely charged for a TV that was already broken in our room. When explaining to the manager that there must be a mistake, she shared that the previous folks that stayed in our room had been evicted due to a heated argument, and she “personally checked” the room herself. When pointing out to her the obvious (she had evicted people having a heated argument from the room that day), she refused to acknowledge the most logical answer and insisted we broke the TV and became irate. I requested she provide the documentation she had that showed we had broken the TV (impossible since we did not break it), and she unsurprisingly refused and hung up on me. I called her back, and she refused to send documentation and hung up on me again. I repeat, whatever you do
