The pictures looked great but this place is a dump. It was remodeled on the cheap with paint covering up past sins. The plaster had fallen from the walls in several places and the were vines growing in through the bedroom window. The furniture looked like it came from Goodwill with the fabric torn in several places. There was only one small hook and a small towel bar to hang towels in the shower. The shower floor was filthy and unfinished and there were bugs. There was no maid service, so we ran out of towels The toilet was on a platform so high that our feet did not touch the floor. The bar patrons from next door could stare in at us through the small flimsy curtains, providing no privacy. The room was not ready for check in on time. There was a coffee maker and condiments but no coffee or
My husband and I went here for the burlesque show and had a blast. The service for seating and bar were excellent. It is a small venue, and while our show was not to capacity, I am sure it would be a tight squeeze with a full house [this is the only downside]. We would definitely come back for another visit.
We went to Mag's for a Diva Royale drag show. TOALLY DISAPPOINTING. The bar is a dive. Sticky floors, clogged toilet, water all over the floor, no toilet paper - just plain dirty and no one seemed to care. I spoke with the manager, who threw toilet paper in one stall and considered it taken care of. We paid VIP prices to sit in the first 6 rows and there weren't even 6 rows in the entire place! 2 of the 4 queens were pretty good - but overall these were second rate performers. The Drag show was followed by a male dance show that was totally raunchy, but seemed to be why most of the bachelorette parties were there. ||||We've been coming to the French Quarter for many years, so have enjoyed all sorts of quality entertainment during our visits - this was not one of those times. We're from Cap
On January 20th I booked Mag's Guest House and had a truly horrific experience that has left me shaken and unsettled. I have reached out to the guest house directly to complain but they have not responded, as of yet. The hotel had no reception, but we received an email about a lockbox outside of the building and another outside the actual room. There was no one around inside the hotel or apparently in the other rooms. The room we were assigned had two other locked doors inside of it that were locked from the other side, and while I assume one lead to the neighboring room, the other seemed to lead into a hallway or stairwell. We dropped our stuff in the room around 8pm and when we came back to the room at 2am all of my credit cards were lying outside of my wallet which had been pulled out f
Very filthy place. Drinks are very expensive for a poor quality. Not nice or welcome if you are foreign. Seems no one likes to go to this bar unless young and do not know better or just are a tourist group. Not a good experience for anyone and heard bad things about it from the bar across the street too
