Magnuson Hotel Virginia Beach

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME… If I could give this place 0 stars I would. As soon as we get there, (mind you 14 hours away) to check-in the ambulance was there picking up someone who had overdosed. Tarp on roof and people just randomly walking around the hotel. Made me feel VERY unsafe. Not to mention even though they are ALL suppose to be smoke free, the room reeked of SMOKE. Went to front desk to ask for refund and the lady ended up charging me AGAIN!! Thank goodness our son is Military and got us a room on his base.

Worst place to book a stay at. The rooms stink so bad. There were razor blades on the stairs, trash all over the place. People outside were smoking drugs. This place needs to be torn down. We tried to get our money back bc we didnt stay here after seeing the rooms. We went somewhere else. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is sketchy. If you have kids Don't stay here. Its not safe for anyone. I made a review before but it got deleted. When you book and you see the conditions of this place they will NOT REFUND your money back. This place robs people of their hard earned money. Do better

Ery nice place to stay, everything was just what we wanted Ted for a nights rest. Staff was awesome Room was clean fresh smelling and bathroom was spotless .

I definitely should have read the reviews and hope you do too. I ended up leaving after one night. This place was gross. Not I am not bougey or anything, I came from the hood, and my family has been homeless before, but this place was too ghetto for me. Right out of the gate I knew it was going to be bad. Just past the reception desk a dead roach was on the floor as I made my way to my room. Bad omen. Since I was not familiar with the layout, and there were 2 stairwells leading up to my room I picked the one closest since I walk with a cane. Big mistake. Apparently the way leading up to that stairwell is poorly lit and used as a bathroom and the smell of urine was awful. A huge fresh urine trail stained the wall to my right as I just tried to hurry to the stairs. I didn't want to touch the

Upon arrival, walking into the hotel lobby, it smelt very badly of mold, received my room key and noticed parts of the hotel, including the roof was ripped apart, not in good condition, my room was the worst hotel room I’ve ever experienced. It was filled with bugs all along the carpet there was a random toilet seat in the corner of the room, the room smelled very strongly of cigarettes and mold there was bodily fluid splatters all along the bedside, the furniture was missing pieces, pubic hairs everywhere. Bathroom was filthy hairs in sink drain, the carpet was not even attached. I had to switch room rooms. The next room was basically the same Condition. Had to leave the premises and find another hotel. Still waiting on a refund from them over a week later no response. Would not recommend
