Madame Isabelle's House In New Orleans

This is my second time coming back to Madame Isabelle's, and from now on I'll only be staying here when I visit New Orleans. This is the ideal hostel: friendly, clean, well organized, and fun! The vibes are top notch, the kitchen is a delight to be in, the back patio and hot tub are my favorite place to be. The beds are comfy and the dorms are very clean. I've also stayed in some of the private rooms and they're great. And don't get me started on the prime location. It's within a 20 minute walk of all my favorite spots in the French Quarter and Marigny. Hands down, best hostel in New Orleans. I can't wait to come back!

Positive: I like the breakfast Negative: There is a sort of peer pressure like high school there amongst the guest side.

One of the best hostels I've ever been to, with an insanely cheap price. Amazing staff, very welcoming and they provide anything you could need. Made a lot of friends, the hostel also plans social activities so it's easy to connect. Go there if you want to relax and meet great people!

Had an amazing time staying at this hostel.. It's a peaceful retreat, clean and super social. Buffet breakfast is a huge plus!! There are Activities organised daily with the help of volunteers, SUPER friendly and helpful. Made great connections there, the team defo made our stay memorable. Shoutout to Tyler for showing us around NOLA and the more local spots.. we had a blast!! ✨✨

Bad mix of dormitory and party experience. I’ve seen much better. It’s just not for everyone. Parties are mediocre. Wholesome if I’m being generous.||Staff’s behavior really make it tough to take full advantage of the great amenities they have. Saving grace is how nice and well-intended the owner is. ||Ended up leaving half way through my stay because I couldn’t bare how much of the staff, during their off hours, were hanging out at every common space and making it feel unwelcome - lot of cliquiness, complaining, gossiping about other staff and guests, switching to other languages so not all guests can join the conversations. I actually like it when the hostel staff blends in with the guests and tries to make it a better time for everyone but this was more unhealthy high school cliques.||I
