Mac Thrift Motor Inn North

The room my husband and I were in was very clean. There were no roaches or any other type of bugs and the beds, bathroom and kitchenette clean. The price is reasonable. I must admit, after reading other peoples comments, I was leary, however, you just have to check it out for yourself, in which we did and was pleased. We went there for my birthday at the end of this past June, stayed for three nights and we had a wonderful time. One block away from the beach, everything was in walking distance and we never had to move our car. All I can say is, "try it for yourself." You won't be disappointed, I will come back again and again. Also, the staff was polite and very friendly. Thank you MacThrift Motor Inn for a wonderful stay.

This place is alright! Very quiet and peaceful. It was smelling clean and very visibly clean. The rooms are bit outdated. It was as if I stepped into the 80s or something.

The rooms are old, but nothing like what the negative reviews say. The room was clean, staff was very kind and is walkable to everything you come down to the beach for. I will definitely be back!

I honestly almost called and came up with some sappy reason why we needed to cancel our reservation at this hotel but we decided to give it a chance. Everyone at the front desk was very pleasant. We did decide not to have room service one day and the next day we found out they only had room service on Mondays and Tuesdays. No big deal at all. Yes the rooms did have a smell but they are all smoking rooms. Again, no big deal. I did check upon arrival that there wasn't any bugs on the beds and there was not. The only issue we had was one of the small burners did not work which again was not a big deal. It was a cheap hotel and a last minute 4th of July trip for us and I am overall pleased.
