Lone Star Inn & Suites Harlingen TX

Hotwire said it was a 3 Star. That is impossible! 1 Star is generous. Awful place! Room looked like it had been a crime scene but they only partially cleaned up. Website photos are very misleading. They show a freshly updated room but mine had not been updated in 40 years. Bathtub was dirty, toilet dirty, shower wall had mold, sink, picture and mirrors dirty, AC didn't work and the smell was awful. Cockroaches everywhere, but some were dead. I read some of the 5 star reviews, they're fake!

This place is absolutely crap. The room was very dirty with trash all over the floor and mouse droppings in the corners. The sink was clogged and filled with dirty water to the top. No ice in our building as you had to walk to another building to retrieve ice. The bathroom mirror had not cleaned at all. I checked for bed bugs and found a soiled and moldy mattress supporter. The trash cans had not been emptied and the room came with not one but two plungers as obviously there are plumbing problems. Stay away from this place. I have only two positives; the ac unit ran quietly and the wifi worked. Period.

I don’t know how or why this place is working. Terrible customer care and customer service. The evening (night) staff who works front office is terrible. The room we stayed in (or was given, we did not stay) had stained sheets, dirty restrooms, and the lock on the door was broken, it wouldn’t lock or close. We weren’t issued a refund or credit for this place. It was $75 and it was a complete mess. Would not recommend for anyone to stay there.

Its a roach motel. It looked decent on the outside but inside absolutely awful. We just needed one night, needed to be close to the hospital because of surgery early in the morning . A nd to spend what we spent on it. No way. Never again.
