Holiday Inn Express Harlingen by IHG

I was able to get a room for two nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Harlingen, TX. The front desk lady was very nice and got situated my room pretty quick. Once done, I was able to go to my room and it was very nice. The beds were comfortable, restroom was clean and nice, and the breakfast was amazing. The breakfast had my heart as my family and I ate very well. The food was done great and very tasty. The room was quiet, not nosy at all, and relaxed very well. I will be back here again as this place exceeded my expectations.

1/24/26 This is not a bad location for staying at a hotel. The property is well lit and secured. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is ok also. They have a business center if you need to take care of business. A fitness room if you want to exercise. If you need to wash your clothes they also have a laundry room.

We stayed three nights. First night was a great stay, first day was a great stay, second day was a great stay and even our last night was a great stay. During our stay the hotel was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and accommodating. One night I learned the hotel has an individual who keeps a watch on parking lot for security purposes. And for additional security after a certain time at night even the front entry requires a guest key card.

The front desk lady, “Lily”, was very rude. She was browsing the computer and didn’t acknowledge us at all. She didn’t greet us, ask how our stay was, or say “thank you” when I greeted her and handed over the room key at check-out. This happened at 10:25 AM on Sunday. It felt like she was completely disconnected and uninterested in helping guests. Management should consider hiring staff who are genuinely interested in working in hospitality. Overall, the front desk staff members I observed at this location need some help with hospitality training!! Bad reputation for the Holiday Inn Express hotel management. The room were thin-walled and the A/C wasn't working well and was noisy.

I wanted to like this hotel so much but it felt dirty to me the restroom light was so bright and I felt dirty the bed was comfy but something was just off here the location was perfect everything around I loved that but for the price it should be a lot more renovated and clean . Staff was amazingly sweet felt welcomed !
