Lokal Hotel Old City

The Betsy room was perfect for our family. Our teens still love bunk beds, and we appreciated all the space in the common room. Although the kitchen area has limited storage, they have supplied an excellent array of cooking materials and supplies. We could have made a sophisticated meal there. The washer/dryer was very much appreciated. Access is great with your personalized code. We would stay here again.

We had a combo work trip + extended vacation back on the East Coast and immediately thought to stay at Lokal on Old City. The stay was perfect - we were on the 2nd floor in the Tina room specially that faced 3rd Street. The space is incredibly welcoming and the amenities were great - including washer/dryer for our extended stay. The owners are highly communicative even proactively reaching out about restocking coffee in the kitchen. We lived in Old City for years and to be back staying in the Lokal space felt like home!

I stayed at the Lokal Hotel Old City for one night and I’m so glad I chose it. I wanted something with a small-scale boutique feel, and this was exactly that. The neighborhood is charming and quiet, with tons of great restaurants and coffee shops just a short walk away. The hotel itself feels more like a carefully designed apartment than a traditional hotel. My room (“The Billy”) was spacious, spotless, filled with natural light, had comfortable bedding, great bath products, and everything I needed for a cozy stay. Check-in was seamless, and the text-based support team was quick, friendly, and helpful. If you’re looking for a homey stay in Philly, this is it. I’d absolutely stay here again. The design and vibe are very much in line with The Edition or The Proper Hotel.

Loved it!! The space is so much bigger than we thought, clean, great pillows and outstanding customer service. We will definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful room that was clean, bright and spacious. Location was great and cost was reasonable. I only gave 4 stars for service because there is no desk or concierge but honestly didn’t miss it at all.
