Lockport Hotel

I've stayed here before and had to only pay a fifty dollar incidental fee as I was not a resident in the town of lockport so on my third attempt to stay because the policy changed without me being able to be notified. The manager was contacted by myself and the third-party agent with no response they completed my booking without me even staying and I still am waiting for the hotel manager to resolve this by simply contacting the agent as she swore she would do.

I had terrible experience at this location. I have stayed 3 nights at room 213 and it was the biggest mistake staying there. Faced lot of issues first was the location was under construction so pool was closed and there is lot of noise. Second when we checked in we found bugs and roaches so they changed the room, in the second room there was an awful smell of something which took one night to go away. Upon having conversation with the front desk man he recommended me to check out and go someplace else… how rude of him…There were lot of issues in the room as well like no blow dryer, landline and iron in the room plus elevator was closed because of renovation. Upon asking for extra towels they said no extra towels right now because they are in dryer. Like really… also the trash dump was rig

Very inexpensive through booking service. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking. Currently being switched over to a major chain so renovations are underway, but there was no inconvenience to guests. Issues for improvement: No hangers in room. No cups in room - nor an ice bucket. No outlets at desk (had to unplug a lamp under desk). Nothing to deduct points for - just some things to improve ... I would stay here again !!!

Edit: We did end up receiving a refund. Thank you to the General Manager who took care of that for us. Full story/review in photos. TLDR: The room was clean and there was one nice staff member. The other staff were rude and uncaring, the outside door is left unlocked at night at the front desk unattended to it is unsafe. "Under renovations" apparently means you get pillows without pillowcases, a cold bagel and nasty coffee for breakfast, no luggage rack or dressers to put your stuff, no luggage rack to get your stuff inside the hotel in the first place, but you still get to pay full price! Management said they would give us a refund, told booking.com they would give us a refund, and now are ghosting us both. Used to be decent and is now a scam.

Half the amenities they advertise don't exist, the pool isn't filled, the hallways are halfway through renovation, there's a cable cord just dangling across the whole room, the AC units in the room don't match and are old, I could go on... But I'd recommend avoiding them. Just God awful.
