Las Posadas of Sedona

What a lovely experience! I stayed at Los Posadas for two nights during Thanksgiving week, and it did not disappoint. Our room overlooked the red rocks, and waking up to that view was incredible. The fireplace made the space feel extra cozy this time of year. Breakfast with Chef Moon was an absolute delight. I’m vegan, and each morning alongside the traditional breakfast, she prepared a delicious and healthy plant-based option. She’s also wonderful to chat with, warm, welcoming, and super cool. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the location couldn’t be better. There are great restaurants with vegan options within walking distance or just a quick drive away. It’s tucked just far enough away from the busy Sedona traffic to feel peaceful, while still being close to uptown

We chose Las Posadas of Sedona based on the hotel’s website description calling it “a rare find within walking distance of restaurants, art galleries, hiking trails and golf courses.” Unfortunately, we found that to be misleading. The surrounding area felt more like strip malls, and we ended up driving to the hiking trails and the Sedona experience we were looking for. It’s roughly a 20-minute drive from the more iconic/central parts of Sedona.|The rooms also felt worn down (see photos). Staff were friendly, but check-in was delayed because the room wasn’t ready. Wouldn’t recommend for the price. The property itself is nice, but the service doesn’t match the price. The walls are extremely thin—you can hear neighbors talking constantly. If you’re on a lower floor, you’ll also hear footsteps and TV noise from above. The hotel also seemed understaffed. We tried calling the front desk to report our super noisy neighbor, but no one responded (this was before 10 PM). Breakfast was underwhelming—no meat options at all. We weren’t aware this was a vegetarian/vegan hotel? the only sausage patty available was vegan. On top of that, we were asked to bus our own table, which I’ve never experienced at a hotel, especially at this price point.

We loved the spacious room and fireplace. The location is about 15 minutes south of uptown which is nice and quiet. The breakfast was not great. When they checked us in they told us breakfast was done by a chef and they would have pancakes and fresh fruit. However when we went to breakfast it was self serve quesadillas and the open fruits were just sitting out behind the counter.
