The Penrose Bed & Breakfast

Stayed here for one night while passing thru Sedona. After dealing with downtown Sedona traffic heading to see the sunset with apparently everyone else, it was so calming to return to the Penrose and sit on our balcony staring at the beautiful Arizona night sky. Staff were warm and welcoming and the breakfast was amazing. The meusli was delicious followed by amazing tex-mex eggs with avocado toast. We even left with a complimentary t shirt! Nestled in a neighborhood off the busy road, it is a hidden gem.

We came in at night so we had no idea what views were in store in the morning! Whitney was a great host, letting us know about the amenities (like snacks and beverages). Breakfast was overnight oats with an almond flavor - very tasty and breakfast burritos. We hope to come again and stay longer to enjoy this property and the surrounding trails!

We were very excited about staying at the Penrose B&B, a five-star facility just outside Sedona. Unfortunately, our stay was significantly less ideal than expected. The B&B is located on a residential street, and the driveway is not well marked. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one of the owners and given a quick tour although some important information was omitted. The next morning, we arose to an absolutely 5-star view of the red rocks of Sedona. Breakfast was southwestern cuisine and was fine. By this time, we had noticed the bathroom sink was partially clogged and very slow to drain. We also noticed that when the toilet in the room above us was flushed, our toilet gurgled and sputtered. There are five unique, luxurious guestrooms in this lovely Inn. The location alone is stunning and worth the cost of your stay. |We stayed in the Coconino room on the 2nd floor. The pictures on the website are accurate, it IS that pretty. Plus the amenities are first class all the way and as described. The breakfast was outstanding and unique (poached pears in raspberry sauce and New Orleans style French toast with excellent coffee served to you by an attentive host on a beautiful patio. Little exras like homemade candy left on the bed, a tee shirt as a momento, real snacks and beverages 24/7 and full use of the common spaces make this a one of a kind stay. |5 stars all around from us.

The rooms are older, so there is limited space. Beds were comfortable. Extra pillows on the closet shelf. The views are spectacular! The house cleaning staff were so sweet and put rose petals on the bed for us. It was our anniversary weekend. The breakfast with the ladies' staff was outstanding! Couldn't thank the chef enough for the gluten-free scones. The breakfast with the male staff had to work Easter, but they were still very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely come back here!
