Lamplighter Resort

The cutest and most affordable spot to stay at the Lake of the Ozarks has been found at Lamplighter Resort. These cabins fit 4 of us perfectly and is a short drive from the popular pool/bar in a cave: The Cave Bar. Our cabin was right next to the water and had a back patio to enjoy the views. There is a basketball hoop, an inground pool, a spot for a bonfire, a playground area for kids, and more. If you are searching for a family-friendly spot near the Lake of the Ozarks, this is a great location to look!

Overall very happy with the stay, great pool, and access/view of the lake. Awesome Cave Bar just accross the highway. However the actual sleeping arrangements were a little more rustic than anticipated. Beds aren’t uncomfortable but very loud/squeaky, and no AC unit in the bedrooms so you must sleep with doors open. I’d highly suggest bringing a box fan or two to blow cool air into bedrooms.

Such a fun place to stay. The cabins were clean and we loved being right on the water. Easy access to several local restaurants. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The heated pool and ice onsite were an added bonus. I will be recommending this resort to family and friends.

This must be the best place to stay at Lake of the Ozarks! We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin with a kitchenette. Each cabin is lakefront and has a small patio with chairs, side table and a grill. The new pool is beautiful and there are 4 docks including a fishing and a swim dock. There is a pavilion and fire pit - plenty to do, or to just relax. The location is perfect and the lake is the prominent amenity. A boat is available for rent (or launch your own at the ramp here). We totally enjoyed an afternoon on the water. Super place, everyone is so helpful, friendly and professional. Will definitely be back!!

My family (ages 12-78) spent 5 days and 4 nights at this resort. We had a wonderful experience and loved the old nostalgia feel that this resort offers and that it is right on the water. The staff working at the resort were amazing and attentive. The resort is very well maintained, and the cabins are clean and comfortable. The queen size beds were very comfortable to sleep in. We enjoyed cooking on the BBQ grill, swimming and relaxing from the swim dock, renting the XL Triton boat, making smores on the firepit that overlooks the lake, and fishing off the various boat docks on the property. Highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a fun and relaxing vacation for all ages!
