Customer Reviews
We are repeat guests who have been returning to Hawks Landing since around 2016 when we discovered this gem because of our search for places that offered an indoor pool and enclosed fishing dock. If you've ever stayed at a place on the water at Lake of the Ozarks, then you should be familiar with the anxiety that comes from the tight, curvy roads and steep declines as you approach your destination. There is absolutely NO DRIVER'S ANXIETY felt going to or from this resort. The roads are all paved, wide enough for two lanes, and no steep declines at all. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the facility has been very well taken care of. The owners and staff are super friendly and very helpful. We especially enjoyed chatting with David about the history of the resort and all of
Dad and I have been crappie fishing at this resort since 1988. Never have I seen the resort in such great shape! David and his family have done an outstanding job with the place and are genuinely excellent people! The covered fishing dock has two wood burning stoves for cold weather fishing. Crappie beds abound at the dock, and the boat slips offer excellent crappie fishing as well. The dock also has a lakewater cleaning sink for your catch, as well as night-time lights that attract shad. Best of all, you don't have to book a room just to fish! For a small fee ($10 a day I think, but I could be off) you can fish the dock and boat slips. Perfect if you're on a budget and don't have a boat. Overnight fishing is permitted as well. There is also a gas station just around the corner that sells
We have been staying her since it was The Flame resort. It still has the quaint, clean, feel it always has had. The Dailng family has done a great job keeping it family and low stress. If your in to boating or fishing, this resort is for you. We dock fish, and are very satisfied with our stays.
We enjoyed our week-long stay and will be return guests. The resort gives off a comfortable vintage vibe. The prices are reasonable, the location is great, the grounds are immaculate, and the buildings and docks are well maintained. The many kid-friendly amenities make the resort perfect for families. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. We loved the lake views from our front porch. Checks all the boxes.
This is a nice, quaint, and rustic property. I crew up coming to the Ozarka in the 90's so it was very nostalgic for me. The service was great, the grounds are well kept, and the docks/boat slips are well maintained as well. It is a prefect place to stay to disconnect with your family. We brought our 13 and 16 year old boys and they enjoyed it. You will want to pack toiletries and bath towels.
