Lake Shafer Resort

Lake Shafer resort is by far the nicest resort at Indiana Beach. The cabins and rooms are aesthetically pleasing, clean, up to date, and modern. Very homey! The pool is well maintained, clean and sun covered all day. The dock has room for 4 boats, is well kept and very nice. This resort is also pet friendly!! Our hosts Jim and Laura are the kindest, most respectful people, who have gone above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible. We will be back every year!

My family has been visiting Lake Shafer for over 70 years. We have stayed at various resorts in the area, but Lake Shafer Resort is by far our preferred choice. Lora and Jim are excellent hosts who ensure every aspect of the experience is comfortable and well-maintained. The property is consistently clean and equipped with modern amenities. We visit for two weeks each year and truly enjoy our time there. We look forward to our stays and have developed a warm relationship with Lora and Jim, whom we consider part of our extended family. We arrived to town from 1.5 hours away to find out there was no power due to a bad storm the night before. The owner had emailed us about it, but we didn't see it. She then allowed us to come to the rooms early and stay much longer than the check-out time the next day, which is walking distance to the amusement park. Nice view of the lake as well. If we travel back to Indiana Beach, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice place! Rooms were clean and comfortable and the owners are very nice and helpful! Great location and free on-site activities to do (kayaking, paddle boats, firepit and pool).

Well it was winter time when I went there but I used to go here all the time when I was a kid that's a great place to take your kids that's for sure
