Site R1 would be perfect if it had more shade. It was pretty hot in the afternoon with the sun. The site was almost perfectly level. But of a challenge getting out of we hadn't waited for a lot of other campers to leave.
Not the worst campground and very nice people but I would never stay there again or recommend it for tent camping, basically camping on the road and just waiting for a car or truck to wreck right into your tent not even a small fence or guardrail to separate you from the road, neighbors dogs barking all night and day, yes you can hear the highway but honestly it’s not that bad, bright lights on all night long made it very difficult to sleep. Showers are very problematic. Lastly instead of enjoying our last morning at camp and packing up happy and relaxed we had to listen to an alarm going off for hours. Not a bad spot for RV’s but definitely skip it for tenting.
My boyfriend and I came from Michigan for my birthday. The campground is small, quiet, and pleasant overall. However, our tent site was located directly next to a main road and a ditch, which felt unsafe and not ideal for camping. The website didn’t mention that some sites are right up against the road, so that was disappointing. The bathrooms are individual and do include showers, but the shower I used didn’t get warm at all, and the water pressure sprayed straight at the wall, which made it difficult to use. That being said, I would consider returning in the future, but next time I’ll be sure to call ahead and request a site further inside the grounds for a safer and more enjoyable experience.
We arrived at 9pm and the campsite was muddy but the shower house is nice but there was bugs in there. Everything in sin one room but there was nobody hear but us and 3 other campers. The owners were vary helpful and nice. I recommend to come here for only a day or two but Overall I thought it was ok.
Owners were super friendly. Their personalities are an asset but they have alot of work to do! First and foremost the restrooms. Also, keeping grass trimmed would help appearances tremendously. The pool was closed and disgusting. The campground is right next to a major highway that you hear all night long. Campers would be more likely to come back despite this if the grounds were better taken care of.
