Dog Friendly Hocking Hills

We were so happy to find a cabin that would allow us to stay with all our dogs! Jen and Justin have a great thing going for dog lovers! They thought of everything you need to easily travel with your pets. We packed toys from home but for some reason they loved the broccoli toy in the cabin 😄. The cabin was clean and very nice. We loved the back deck and fenced in area. It was so easy to hop on a trail and hike. The dogs loved the long walks and were certainly tired out. We all had a great time and will definitely be back!

Stayed at paws cabin 12/23 to 12/30 and it was very clean, cozy and had everything we needed. An extra large crate was available since we have 2 fur boys that are used to sleeping in their crates at home. Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave and others are so close. Enjoyed walking and hiking at so many beautiful places. It was a great relaxing and stress free vacation for all of us. Boys loved watching the birds on the front porch. Loved seeing deer’s at night on the property. Thank you so much for thinking of everything we would need and we look forward to returning in the future. Jan, Tom, Luke 🐶and Duke🐶

Cabin was very cold and relied primarily on a wood burner stove which would’ve aggravated breathing issues. There were several small window heaters that didn’t generate much heat due to the cinder block structure. If you stay in the winter, bring wood because they don’t provide it. There was also an odor which could’ve been from dogs. I’ve stayed in many dog friendly cabins over the years and never experienced a strong smell. The tv also had no reception at that time. Entry steps are very steep and covered in gravel which would be very icy in winter. It was difficult bringing items in and out of the cabin. We decided to leave after a short time because it was too cold. Despite not use anything including the bathroom, the cleaning fee was not refunded.

Just wrapped up our 2nd stay at Paws & Unwind! We had such a great trip last year that we decided to extend our trip a night this year. We’ve been visiting Hocking Hills for all of our anniversaries the last 7 years and being able to bring all 4 of our dogs has been a game changer! The location is perfect and we’ve been able to go on multiple hikes a day, while coming back to relax during the kids naptime. Jen & Justin are the most thoughtful hosts. Their communication is proactive and they offer many flexible options. We felt right at home and had everything we needed! We can’t wait for next year!

We’ve stayed at Take A Hike cabin every Thanksgiving for 4 years now and it is truly one of the most enjoyable experiences! We wanted to get away but didn’t want to leave our fur kids behind. The cabin is secluded, clean and stocked with everything you could think to need on a trip with dogs. Jen and Justin are always available if needed and go out of their way to add personal touches. Hands down one of the best getaway experiences!
