Lake George Escape Campground

It is one of the nicer campgrounds at Thousand trails. Have. The site we had was kind of on the Sandy side. It would have been nice to have some grass and they were a little close together compared to other Thousand trails parks that usually give you nice room but it was the location so it worked good

The fall foliage while duller this year was still beautiful! The campground looks fantastic they are really cleaning the place up with fresh paint, got rid of the pile of logs near the entrance! Enjoyed the mystery weekend. Fall camping is always the best!

Lake George Escape Campground is a fantastic place to stay! With around 600 sites, there’s something for everyone—50 and 30 amp hookups, full hookup sites, water/electric only, and even cabins and cottages. Some sites are pull-through, but most are back-in. The campground has a huge camp store, arcade, s’mores area with a big screen, mini golf, pool, playground, outdoor workout area and plenty of ponds and grassy areas to enjoy. I’m sure I’m even missing a few things! Bathrooms and showers are available (a little outdated with a very “camping feel,” spiders included), but they do the job. The laundry facilities were great—card or app-operated, which was so convenient. The campground is quiet, and we loved the gated entry/exit with a bar gate for added security. The Place is going downhill, we went last year. Everything was great this year we checked in we paid and the beginning of the year for a trip in August for four cabins. Last year the lady told us we have to book directly through their site to get them next to each other not through booking or any other third-party so we did and our One families’s cabin was very far away, which was very disappointing. One of the cabins had hair all in the bed. The other cabins blinds was broken and my cabin when I checked in, they were still working on the air conditioning telling me it was broke. I don’t know why they would give us a key then if they were still working on the cabin. Also, I wish they would’ve told us that we had a handicap room. Lake George Escape Campground is the best we have ever stayed out. Do you have kids? The playground is huge and awesome. Do you have a dog(s)? They have the best dog 3 section dog park (1 for little ones, 1 for big ones, and 1 for agility) with 6' high chain link fencing and triple gates going in/out and single gates to go between sides. They have a dog wash station and a doggie water fountain. The bar/restaurant has awesome food reasonably priced. They have a variety of campsites.
