Country Cottages

We had a wonderful stay at Country Cottages! We booked last minute and were so pleasantly surprised — our cabin was freshly updated, extremely clean, and felt so cozy and comfortable. The amenities were a huge bonus — we made great use of the gas grills, the pool was perfect for cooling off, and the playground was great for our little one. The whole property was peaceful and well taken care of. It ended up being the perfect little getaway, and we’d definitely come back again!

Great place to stay while in Lake George. First of all the pictures on this site aren't updated. The resort is updated and clean with so much to do. We rented a 3BR cottage. The outside looks like a log cabin. Inside is also all wood, clean and the main living area is spacious. Rooms themselves are a little tight and we had 2 bathrooms. The only critique I have is the master shower stall isn't meant for anyone over about 175-190 pounds. It is TIGHT. Otherwise it was nice to have the second bathroom. Plenty of hot water, AC worked great and each bedroom has a lock on the door and fan in the room. The shared areas include a large pavilion with a full outdoor kitchen, 3 new WEBER grills and plenty of seating which would be great if you are traveling with other families. There are

I recently planned a reunion with a few college friends and our families. Country Cottages was perfect. The grounds and accommodations are beautiful and well kept. The owner Bonnie went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. She helped us with trying to secure a boat rental (we decided not to do it) and my kids loved that she gave them an ice pop on a hot day. There was another large group also staying onsite but the communal spaces (BBQ area, playground, pool, game room) were large enough that it didn’t feel crowded or like we were on top of each other.

Absolutely perfect for families. Incredibly clean, beautiful amenities, friendly and helpful staff. We've been searching for somewhere like this in the Lake George area for years. Happy to have found Country Cabins! Looking forward to returning year after year.

We have been to the Country Cottages 2 years in a row and have told all of our friends and family about it. We love it so much. The grounds and cabins are very clean and comfortable. There is so much to do for kids of all ages (we have had kids aged 2-14). Our kids and their cousins were busy from sun up until well after sun down! Adults can sit back, relax and watch the kids enjoy themselves. Lake George offers so many options of things to keep yourself busy. We have been to the beach at Bolton Landing, played at arcades in town, shopped and plenty more! Even though there is plenty to do in town, we find ourselves spending most of our time on the grounds. We are already talking about our trip for next year!
