La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tupelo

Positive: Pet friendly, friendly staff Negative: A dog peed on the floor in front of the elevator and they put a cone there and left it to dry for hours (still not cleaned up when we left) discharge time on the door says 12 but was told 11

The most unsanitary room I've ever had. Hair from previous occupants were on multiple surfaces in the bathroom. The bathroom floor was sticky. The soap/ body wash dispenser in shower completely empty. The white comforter had stains of brown and soilage. The sofa bed had dust and crumbs all over it and once the bed was extended out the mattress pad was completely covered in filth but the mattress was even worse. The mattress was heavily soiled in multiple locations. The hair dryer did not blow hot air. The carpet has not been vacuumed in ages with obvious buildup and dirt on the carpet. Asked to speak to a manager and was told no one available for 48 hours. We couldn't wait to leave. We skipped breakfast because we didn't trust the sanitation.

Accomodations for our dog were very good, except pet owners need to pick up after their dogs. What a mess. Also, wing and rib bones were flung on the ground, not LaQuintas fault, because trash bins were everywhere. The staff did an excellent job with breakfast, considering the hotel was full. Room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Another wonderful stay. The front desk lady last night and this morning we so kind to our little dogs. Watson and Tiberius had the best time. Room was clean and the breakfast was nice! Thank you all for the pleasant stay once again. Oh and the coffee is changing to Seattles Best! Love the new coffee but sad to see the old go. It was the reason we started and will continue staying exclusively at Tupelo LQ.

The facility and the room were pretty clean. The towels were nice, clean and heavy. There is room for improvement with vacuuming and a more thorough cleaning of the bathtub and surrounding tile. Our room was on the first floor facing the parking lot and it was on the loud side. But we were able to get a good night’s sleep. The breakfast offerings were standard and tasted as good as motel breakfast go. The coffee was good and hot. The ladies at the front desk were very personable and friendly. We would stay here again with our pup.
