Best Western Plus Tupelo Inn & Suites

The perfect location in Tupelo, close to several restaurants! Check in was easy and the staff were all very kind. Rooms were slightly dated, but comfortable and served its purpose for the value! Housekeeping was very friendly and doing a great job! Breakfast was wonderful!. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The area was clean and spacious. Ms. Mae is a gem to put it together and keep it going. She was attentive to all of the guests and did a walk thru before she took it down to be sure no one wanted anything else. Top notch!

We stayed at this BW and had no issues other than the pool is very cold and we booked this hotel specifically because of the indoor pool but it wasn't really usable for us. The breakfast is fantastic and Staffed well. When we left the hotel to head to our destination our van started shuddering and 4 hours later we wound up back at the hotel. They gave us a good rate and helped us try to find a local mechanic. I really can't say enough about the service here. It was great. We wound up taking our van across the street to Firestone and they had us up and going the next day right after another delicious breakfast. Five stars, but please please turn up the heat in the pool.

Positive: We had tornado warning while we stayed. We were on top floor, I was impressed staff came knocking on doors to wake us up to tell us to all go downstairs to get on the main floor. Very commendable of them. We were asleep had no idea tornado was going on. Negative: Didn?t care for small shower & only 1 small garbage can. Room kind of dated. Pillows were tiny. You could hear noise in halls & thin walls. Had good variety of breakfast but sausage & eggs were hard.

In all fairness, $114 for a room one shouldn’t expect too much. The bed itself, toilet and lavatory were clean. The lobby is nice but the rooms we stayed in were showing their age and lack of thorough cleaning. Look along the baseboards in the bathroom and you see the result of inadequate cleaning. The bed cover on one of the beds was torn which made it feel a bit icky. All in all, after staying two different times, next trip we’ll try another hotel and be willing to pay a little more.

Edited: The manager did give us a discount after mentioning the problems with the room therefore we gave it a 3rd star! We chose this Best Western in Tupelo based on the strong reviews for the rooms and breakfast, but unfortunately our experience didn’t live up to the expectations. The room has clearly been renovated, but there were noticeable issues. The sink was cracked and missing drain parts, and the bathtub drained very slowly, causing dirty water to back up while showering. We were on the second floor facing the front, and the road noise at night was extremely loud. On top of that, a maintenance/garage worker emptied a dumpster around 4:00 a.m., which made getting a good night’s sleep nearly impossible.
