La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tempe University / Phoenix

Nice hotel if you just need a base. Plenty of traffic noise from nearby road. Small pool. Breakfast is okay. Positives are tea coffee juice fruit 24/7. Staff are great. Bed in room has a firmish mattress which is super comfy. Rooms great size if a tad dated. Nice bathroom and shower. Fridge also a bonus. Aircon in room, very loud when switched on. Fortunately room cooled down just enough at night that aircon not required. More pluses than minuses

Clean rooms and nice staff. I booked because of location and listed amenities. Location is good but not the amenities. The room fridge would not keep anything cold. The tiny clostrophobic fitness room has one treadmill and one stationary bike. Breakfast included cold eggs (fom powder)and sausages. It was like they had just pulled the leftovers from the fridge. Also had a waffle making station but no syrup or toppings to be found. Coffee machine that made what tasted like instant. The juice machine was mostly out of order. They did have orange juice, but it was brown. The other items were standard breads and sugary stuff. Overall, comfortable room but lacked all the conveniences I expected when choosing Wyndham.

The rooms clean and comfortable. The front desk person was very friendly. I checked in on my phone before I arrived and it was super easy when I got here . They have free breakfast, although I did not partake in that.

Smoke alarm low battery beeped all night even after notifying front desk. Wasn’t fixed until the morning. Breakfast sausage was always COLD. There was garbage on the floor of our room. There was an extra shrinkwrapped refrigerator in our room. Exercise room had a treadmill only. There were pallets of supplies in the hallways. The beds are short, my feet hung off the bottom. And the fitted sheets didn’t fit the mattress and would come off during the night.

Positive: "" Negative: King suite was actually 1 room. The shower had no door or curtain and the water flooded clear out to the entrance door, the desk in the room was held together with tape, tape also was holding the electric lamp, etc etc.
