La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Medical Ctr NW

Great hotel with friendly Staff. Breakfast was good and kept tidy throughout the time range and the person assigned was friendly and kind. Hotel was clean overall. Hot tub was too hot for us. A few issues that I’d like to share: 1. At time of booking there was no mention of $10 parking fee. I stayed 6 nights which cost me $60 extra. Main reason for 4 star. 2. Sighted two cockroaches. But this is a huge hotel with lots of guests, could be from guests. 3. Cleaning is every 3rd day. Reception at check in may have misspoken the day or I heard wrong so I missed it by having the dnd sign on the door. Either way when I asked front desk they spoke to manager and sent cleaner first thing next day and took care of it.

They were great, the rooms were nice and perfect because we had our dog & cat. Very nice pet friendly hotel. Our cat got lost and they've been very understanding towards the situation, they even help search for him with us.

Positive: Proximity to our doctors appointment Negative: I have stayed here before and this time the hotel implemented a $10 per night charge to park in their open parking lot. Allegedly it was to cover the armed guard that watches the parking lot. A guard that we never saw the 2 nights we were there.

Decent room. No cockroaches ( in my room at least). AC worked, hot water works. Basically all the bare minimums, which shouldn’t be a huge bar to set. Bar soap and shampoo were very bottom tier that made your skin and hair dry,l— I would’ve rather lather myself w some Dawn dish soap if that tells you anything. The cherry on top was getting hit with a hidden “$10 parking fee” that was CASH ONLY before they handed over the keys to your room… it’s not about the money for me, but it felt unethical and sleazy since never have I ever had a hotel request a parking fee when you book a reservation w them. Excluding Valets of course. Also, Im pretty sure the awards in the front are either paid or fake.

Parking fees added!!!! 10.00 a night!! Be aware this is a hidden charge then when you ask they disclose!! Why should we have to pay for security on the parking lot of the hotel??????? They dismissed one night charge, now 7 days later there is another charge!!!!!! If you book outside LaQuinta they do not tell you! It’s shows free parking as it has been for years!! Now they are adding the fee! Stating that they do not get all the funds from the booking company that they sold a block of rooms to sell!!!! Sounds like a scheme to me!! Hidden charges on both ends!! The hotel and the second party booking!! Don’t bother arguing with them because they will only put it back on you!! We always pay cash, but now they won’t let you do that because they add charges after you stay!! Inciden
