La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salina

Loved the location and staff, however when I arrived in my suite (309) it smelled overwhelmingly like sewage andnit was coming from the pipes. I left the windows open all night and borrowed Febreeze from the front desk. After that it wad bearable. The breakfast was nice.

Value stay. The building is dated and tired. The room had some minor repairs needed. The bed linens were clean and had plenty of towels, but the rest of the place needed a good cleaning. I had a pet room. I made sure to wear my shoes the whole time, even getting out of bed. The room was large but had an overpowering smell of air freshener or cleaner. The area is sketchy with a truck stop directly next door. (also a McDonalds is right there for food) If you want a quicky road stop stay, it's adequate for the price.

Positive: The location and price. Negative: We have stayed here about four times in recent years. Our last visit was in 2023. This time the pool was closed, the breakfast was mediocre, the exercise room has old equipment that doesn't work well, and maintenance seems to be lacking. We won't return

After a long drive we arrived at the motel I had made reservations for 4 days prior to find out they had some how been cancelled the day before arrival, we went searching and LaQuinta was a cross the street tried it as it is in the Wyndham family went there and th desk clerk was most helpful, had a room,got us checked in quickly. The room was great, clean and quiet. The full breakfast was the best we had during our 3 week trip. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone and would go back there if ever in the area again.

This motel has really taken a dive. The parking lot was absolutely filthy with litter and trash cans that hadn't been emptied in weeks, perhaps months. My hotel room had a huge spider on the wall so I killed it. Made it hard to think about sleeping. More importantly my door handle would not automatically lock when I left my room. I had to jiggle it just right to get it to lock. My dog picked something up off the parking lot before I could get it out of her mouth. She bled rectally all the way home to St. Louis. Another $450 spent at vet. My dog has never been sick in her entire life of 6 years. Like I said the parking lot looks third world. I stayed here twice in early October. The first being the 4th and the last stay I will have ever had was on October 12th. Take your dog to a cleaner mo
