Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Salina

I am partially at fault as I forget to avoid Fairfield. With that, I will get straight to the point. The fridge has a button that will cool it for 2 hours. Nobody knows this when they book the room. I should know this by now, but every few months I forget. If you are only staying at the hotel for one hour and 59 minutes, the fridge is not an issue. If you are like me and booked a two week stay, cancel and book somewhere else. The hotel is great otherwise. I saw someone else complain about the breakfast. I never eat hotel breakfast just because. The staff seemed on point. I cannot blame them for what some cost-cutter in a Fairfield boardroom decided.

This hotel is fine at best, but the front-desk experience is actively hostile. There’s an aggressively worded sign lecturing guests about what they don’t get—specifically bottled water—like you’re trying to scam them out of something.||I’m a Marriott Titanium with nearly 100 nights this year and I’ve never seen a property lead with this level of defensiveness. Other Fairfields manage to explain brand standards without sounding irritated at their own guests.||Nothing about this place feels welcoming. If you care about basic hospitality—or how elite members are treated—stay elsewhere.

I had a wonderful stay and can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the team here. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was just right. Check-in was smooth, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the entire property felt well cared for. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with outstanding service.

New hotel. Interesting architecture and a great, colorful exterior added to the appeal. The lobby lighting was a bit understated for my tastes, but the huge windows of the breakfast area with the sun setting made up for the lobby. The decor was warm and calming; the room was inviting, clean, and the Fall window shades with colorful leaves added to the warmth of the room. The furniture was understated, but very comfortable. The bathroom was great! Bright white walls and counters with navy accents--shower with beautiful glass sliders was very spa-like! Microwave, small fridge, coffee maker was tucked away in a compact shelving unit with a small closet--just perfect for a single traveler. The bed was firm, yet comfortable, with ample plug-ins for charging today's multiple tech gadgets.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was friendly, professional, and consistently helpful throughout my stay. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome and comfortable. The room was clean, quiet, and well maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The common areas were just as tidy, and everything felt organized and thoughtfully managed.
