La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City Airport

Our room was not clean. We were staying here for our Anniversary. Our bed had pink body glitter everywhere in the bed, usually found on strippers, prostitutes, or small children.. I don't think it was small children. Along with hair in the bed and in the shower. I was disgusted. I will be back to update the post once I know how the hotel is going to handle this situation. The amenities weren't much better. No smart TV, which means no Netflix and chill, or anything for that matter, just regular TV with all the commercials 🙄

The staff here are rude and borderline incompetent. They also hand out room keys without validating ID's and have a blatant disregard for security and safety. I've been coming to OKC for the AQHA Youth World Show for over a decade and I have never felt so unsafe. The staff did not acknowledge or address my concerns. I will never stay here again and I strongly discourage anyone from staying here. I know families that stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for the for the show and had a significantly better experience.

I booked a reservation for a 2 night stay and not one time while staying here did i have a problem with any of the staff members let alone everyone that was also staying here. They stay on top of keeping the everything clean. Anytime i would have a problem with something, I would have certain questions that i need to ask, if they would see that im struggling with certain things ( my luggage dropping on the floor, if my hands are overflowing an would need help with a extra pair of hands etc ) they would always be there to assist me. If there’s a time where i would feel that my safety could possibly be in jeopardy, they would walk with me all the way to my room makinf sure that ive gotten to my room safely and make sure that nobody was following me / know what room im in. I have always loved staying at LaQuinta Inn. Always 5 star. Was surprised at how worn this LaQuinta was. Wooden floor planks looked like they were patched. Big gaps between boards. Furniture in lobby was worn. The laundry was a disaster. One dryer was completely broken, the other dryer was so loud that you could hear it at the end of the hall. One washer leaked. The other washer would start to spin then stop then start then stop. It was a good location and the workers were nice. The building just needs an update

Pros: Easy check in. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Clean everywhere inside out. Property appears relatively new. Area seems safe. Fridge and microwave are great! 24 hour convenience store adjacent to hotel. Actual HOT water in the showers. The last 2 LaQuinta I’ve stayed at had penny pinching misers setting the hot water thermostat to barely above body temperature. +1 star alone for actual hot water. Cons: traffic noise from the nearby interstate. Some rooms have dated furniture and no plugins for USB. Existing plugins for power cords are difficult to access. Theres a good 1 inch of clearance beneath the door to my room and the floor where the rubber noise dampener should be. Literally someone can lay on the floor outside the door see into my room.
