La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mansfield TX

We never do this but felt we had to protect other travelers. First all, we are veteran travel writers with over 20 years domestically and abroad contributing to Luxury publications both online and in print. We chose this hotel because we were in town visiting a family as well as following the Grapevine an assignment. everything was fine until our second day we had booked of December 17 through the 25th In just a few days, there was a leak in our bathtub of hot water. We reported it right away. They said it would be fixed. It wasn’t fixed for three days. In the meantime, the hot water kept dripping and turned our room into a sauna. Almost like a rainforest. Finally, they moved us to another room. A few days later, the key lock on our door was not working. It took him three hours or more to

cheap cheap cheap. no working ice machines in the entire hotel. no telling how long they have been broken as they are dry and not even on. no offer to provide ice. so the only way to get a cold drink of water is to pay for it. no feed back from "hospitality" staff a real disappointment. when I arrived the hotel water was off...for the whole building...no water for hours... I travel on a voucher I can stay wherever I want. if I had known about the ice machines or water never would have stayed here. they have water fountains but the refrigeration is not on...it all tepid/warn like from the tap. worse, while the buffet is ample but they leave the food warmers open to gather dust and bacteria. coughs? sneezes? they have juice machines but they are off. I was there for 30 minutes and not

Positive: "" Negative: Key didn’t work. I had a total of 6 keys from the staff; they had to come up each night to get me into my room. The edge of the bathroom door and wall was sticky. Hall smelled damp and dusty. Ice machines only on 2 floors. Parking too far from room.

Our stay at this La Quinta was extremely disappointing. When we arrived late and exhausted from traveling, we discovered there was vomit left in the bathtub of our room. Because it was late and we were beyond tired, we shut the bathroom door and went to sleep, planning to address it in the morning. Unfortunately, we had to leave very early to make it to a motocross track for my son’s birthday, which left no time to go to the front desk or request a different room. Later that day, I called the hotel to explain the situation. Instead of showing any concern or accountability, the front desk staff was rude, dismissive, and blamed me for not reporting it sooner. To make matters worse, after expressing my frustration with how the situation was handled, I was told I had been placed on a Do Not

I’ve stayed here before with no issues. This last experience was poor. Room smelled like smoke. Microwave was stinky. Hairballs all over the bathroom. Furniture dinky and ugly, drawers would not stay closed. Elevator floor sticky and dirty.
