La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Southwest

In some distress, I got to stay at La Quinta for a total of 5 nights.||Nice and clean, I just wish the personell was better trained.||||Nabil was experienced enough to notice not all was well, and offered words of comfort. The maids were nosey, FD less sympathetic. ||Online price sums to $67, walk in jumps to $95.40 but Nabil gave a discount to $85, since I re-checked in after 2 am.||||I totally I paid close to $300, to justify the extra night, so the full stay was covered. FD wanted to charge an extra $80. No flexibility and no sympathy for my situation.||Not able to stretch the dollar, I went somewhere else.

The room appeared clean & tidy. The auto door latch that causes the outside to slam shut behind you & causes monumental difficulty then portaging luggage, was broken. That was a first and it was really nice !!! The upholstered chair cushion was clean on top, dirty on the bottom, wet & sticky. The carpet in front of that chair was wet & sticky, too— as if a soda had been spilled. Wearing shoes, who notices? I never sit in those chairs, so again, I would never, but my +1 does . . . The hinge on the bathroom door was damaged, but with a little lift, the door still closed. Water was hot. Pressure was good. Towels & bedding were very clean, comfortably clean. The a/c was cold. The next morning, the front desk person was late— AWOL. TWO people from housekeeping attended to me! They

I stayed here for 2 nights (before Thanksgiving 2 days) and only used the room to shower and sleep, since I was out most of the day. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When entering the hallway on the 3rd floor, there was a very strong, unpleasant cigar smell that made it hard to breathe. The carpets throughout the hallway and stair areas are old, worn-out, and look extremely dirty. The elevator exists but never worked during my stay, so I had to use the stairs every time. The hotel advertises a pool and gym, but they were always closed and looked like they were only there for show, not actually for guests to use. The room itself felt damp and had a musty odor, likely because the carpet hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The front desk staff never smiled or gree

THE worse hotel experience I’ve ever had. Smells BAD soon as you walk in, elevator felt dangerous to use, there was LOUD non stop banging on the door at 2am for about an hour or more. I felt unsafe & will NEVER return here or recommend to anyone! Do Not Stay Here!!!
