La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Durango

Hotel staff was very friendly and located us in a great room!! The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet!! This is the quietest hotel we've ever stayed at. The only negative was the breakfast. Over scrambled eggs, an undercooked sausage patty and a tortilla is not our idea of a hot breakfast. We have stayed at other La Quinta hotels offering more variety to choose from like eggs, bacon, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, plus DIY waffles, cereal, etc. Maybe it was the days of the week that we were there and less travelers (?) We have been offered less at other hotel brands, and La Quinta hotels are one of our favorite brands because of consistency.

The hotel was nice and very clean except for the pool and hot tub was dirty. So didn't get to use those. Our room was huge and bathroom facilities were great. I will say bring your own pillows.

Had a really good stay here with our dog. Wade at the front desk was very nice, the room was comfortable and clean and the hotel is on the newer side. The pet rooms are on the first floor, which was convenient for us. Even though there was someone in the room above us, the soundproofing was decent and we had a quiet night. Good blackout curtains and standard La Quinta self-serve breakfast with some hot items, yogurt, muffins & bagels, etc. The parking lot felt safe for our car. Only downside of the location was that there were no restaurants in walking distance, so we drove the 3 miles into town — not a big deal. Overall, very satisfied!

Positive: The beds we’re comfortable Negative: First day pool was filthy, hot tub was barely warm and only filled to the jet line. Fire alarm went off around 1130pm, we were told not sure what happen hopefully it won’t happen again while staff was laughing about it. No room service for the 4 days.

This hotel lives up to the other reviews. We came for 3 days with our two dogs, it's a newer hotel as some of the other reviewers had mentioned, so a much cleaner La Quinta. There is a great walking path right by the hotel, and I love that it's close to town, but off the main strip, so quieter. The staff was wonderful! Especially Wade at the front desk- extremely helpful, professional and wonderful with my dogs! It is rare to find customer service like this now days. Highly recommend checking this place out if you have pets.
